Afrikan-centered A worldview and lifestyle based on Afrika being the foundation of civilization, particularly Nile Valley culture as opposed to Greece or Greco-Roman. From this Afrikan perspective, every aspect of life is grounded in the principles and value system of Afrika - Ma’at. Analytics Information developed from a systematic analysis of data or statistics. Big data A large volume of data that can be analyzed for insights that lead to better and more strategic business decisions. Black business A Black owned and operated organization. Black-owned business An organization solely owned by a black person(s). Cloud Storage and access to data and programs over the internet as opposed to a computer's hard drive. |
Digital marketing
The promotion of products and/or services via electronic channels such as the internet, social media, mobile, and electronic billboards. Digital organization An organization who's infrastructure is mainly digital. Innovation Generating, prioritizing, developing, and delivering new ideas for commercial use. Intellectual capital An intangible form of capital that covers an organization's People, Intellectual Property, Brand, and Partnership resources. Intranet An organization's private network used for internet communications, collaborations, and knowledge share. An "extranet" is similar and used for the same purposes but externally. IoT The Internet of Things is a network of physical devices (smart devices, sensors, controllers, etc.) that can be accessed and controlled over the internet. Market leading An organization that leads in its category and shapes the direction in which the market takes. |
Modern organizations
An organization that utilizes digital technologies to manage and grow. On-ramping Providing economic opportunities to under-served and overlooked segments. Organization design Aligning an organization's strategic plan, business model design, and marketing strategies with its structure, systems, and business goals. Pan-Afrikan The cooperation and unification of people of Afrikan descent, both on the continent and the diaspora. ROIC Return on invested capital is an organization's measure to determine its profitability compared to how much has been invested. Strategist Strategist is a person skilled in planning action or policy, especially in war or politics. Strategic innovation Reinventing your organization to grow your business, deliver more value, and gain competitive advantage. |
